Electro Technic Pourarab Company (ETP) is a small and medium sized enterprise (SME) family business operating in Mashhad. Mashhad is the second largest City in Iran with approximate population of 3 million and 20 million visitors per year. ETP was established in 1970 with 2 employees and started as a small workshop specialised in repairing and winding all types of Generators, Distribution Boards and Electrical Water irrigation systems mainly used either domestically or for Industries with focus on Agriculture industry. At present, most of farms well water pumps switch from diesel to electrical and ETP has a good market share in repairing and renovating of all types of electrical pumps used for irrigation and other liquids used either in industry or farms. Today 12 employees are working in ETP’s workshop. ETP is well-known in eastern part of Iran with clients from other regions.  According to Mr. Pourarab, Managing Director of ETP, the exact statistics of market share of these companies are not readily available but by comparing the growth of each company and its infrastructure we can estimate which one has a good turnover and market share. ETP also specialises in repairing and winding all types of electro motors: AC, DC and Gearboxes of all sizes from 0.5 KW (Kilo watt) to 600 KW currently used in Industry.
